How to keep flowers fresh in vase?
Cut the stems at an angle and put lemonade in the water
Reply:Avoid aspirin. It's a common trick, but it WILL burn more delicate flowers. Crush very woody/thick stems underwater so more water can get to them, and make sure all leaves are above the waterline to avoid fungus. Use a tablet of Alka-Seltzer in the water; the lemon-lime kind is also good for the citric acid content. Also, before you bring the flowers home, check the temperature of the water that they were displayed in; try to keep the water at home the same temperature, or close to it. Shock can kill off some flowers very quickly.
Reply:keep in a normal temperature.and adya from direct heat but must get the touch of sunlight, and slitht water sprinkle on it .
Reply:You can keep long stem and change the water every day, you can even pour some viniger in it to keep it fresh
Reply:change the water every few days,

and see if you can get some fresh flower food,

and if there store bought, cut 1-2 inches of the end,

that always helps, good luck!
Reply:Hi! Buy fresh flowers with a long stem. Change the water two times every day with little bit cold (cold water). if the flower' stem in the water, add a little bit of Vinegar/sprit / asprin to it. Cut one to 2 centimeter stem per day and the edge should be sharp. try it .
Reply:put everyday fresh water and keep in sunlight and spraying fresh wate on it
Reply:buy fresh flowers, still budding, so they last longer, cut the ends off on an angle, this is so they dont sit flat on the bottom and the water can still run up to stalk. trim all the dead and unwanted branches from the lower stems, keep them in a vase with water, and you can actually get some plant food from stores. if not, keep them in a place that gets some sun, but not too much because they will wilt, dont leave them in a high wind area or where there is a draft, and DEF do not leave them near the fruit bowl, the gas ripening fruit gives off will kill flowers.
Reply:us clodwater and have it close to the sun not to close ok
Reply:saw on a show yesterday a tiny bit of bleach in the water or have used sugar
Reply:at most places you get flower food which shld be added in the vase....also u can make ur own by adding a lil salt in the water of the vase....and cut the stem at a slant but under water else air bubbles enter the stem and the flowers starts to wilt
Reply:i always put a little blue pond coloring in the vase, the coloring shades the water, keeping the water temperature lower, and plants last longer when cooler, second, keep the plants out of direct sunlight, third, place an aquatic plant fertalizer tablet in the bottom of the container with the cut plants in, if you do all this, and give the plants plenty of room, they should "survive very alive" for a long time, and possibly even grow roots in the water. remember to keep up the water lever to about 1/4" below the top of the container.
Reply:*After cutting the end of the stem at a slanting angel, immerse them in water, to which some sugar or aspirin is added !!!!

Try %26amp; Change the water everyday or every second day !!!!!

Keep the flrs away from direct sunlight ....
Reply:use some kind of natural manures like vegetable wastes so as 2 keep ur flowers fresh
Reply:Several tricks that I know of are to cut the stalks at a sharp slant. This gives the stem a greater water absorbing area. Also, I add Sprite to the water (The soda, about half by content). Some people say add aspirin to the water, but I`ve never tried it.
Reply:If purchased from a florist, they provide a packet to go with the bouquet. I always snip the ends up and put in slightly cool water. You can also crumble up an aspirin. I then change the water every other day. You could also buy plant food at a landscaping or garden supply store. I have also heard that pop can work as well - I believe 7Up is the one I have heard of. I am not sure of the exact measurements though.
Reply:Change the water daily

Cut the long stalled stem after it start degrading.

n Put some vinegar in water tat will keep them fresh.....
Reply:HI MONA MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PAIR OF SHARP SCISSORS AND COLD TAP WATER NOW SNIP OF THE EXTRA STEMS WITH THE SCISSORS UNDER RUNNING COLD WATER ON A SLANT,DISSOLVE AN ASPIRIN IN A VASE FILLED WITH WATER,NOW ARRANGE THE FLOWERS MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE VASE AWAY FROM SOURCES OF HEAT EXAMPLE DO NOT PLACE ON THE T.V OR ON THE REFRIGERATOR,OR NEAR A WINDOW WHICH HAS A LOT OF SUNLIGHT COMING THROUGH,MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE WATER EVERYDAY FROM THE VASE,NOW IF THE FLOWER ARRANGEMENT IS A BONSAI THEN MAKE SURE YOU WET THE OASIS SPONGE AND SPRAY THE ARRANGEMENT WITH FRESH COLD WATER,FLOWERS STAY LONGER FOR A WEEK IF PLACED IN AN A.C ROOM,I HOPE THESE SIMPLE TIPS HELP YOU OUT,BYE.
Reply:I met a gentleman years ago who imported and sold the most beautiful cut roses. He swore by the lemon-lime soda in water trick. I've been using it ever since and it does seem to keep most flowers fresh several days longer than plain water. The best part is, most folks have some around the house and don't have to go shopping for it.
