I have these nasty little bugs all over my pepper plants and I need to get rid of them.?

They are tiny, little, booger looking things that are white when they're small and turn yellowish when they mature. They cling to the fresh flower pods and the bottoms of the leaves and I cannot get rid of them! I tried the dish soap approach and habenero pepper juice in a spray bottle, but it doesn't seem to phase them at all. The plants are healthy and flowering but whenever a new flower appears, these bastards quickly attach to it. If anyone has an idea of what they may be, please let me know. I live in south Florida and the bugs are tiny, roundish, and yellow-white.

The way I get rid of aphids, spider mites etc off my roses or any other plant i have is with NEEM. Its organic and works very very well. I only use organic products in my home and only eat organic food. Neem is a great great great investment and follow the instructions on the bottle. You can get it just about anywhere you can get gardening supplies, and you can use it indoors or outdoors. It TRUELY works and its safe around YOU, your pets, and children....(of course you dont want to feed it to them) But it is great stuff.
Reply:you have a good case of aphids. go to Wal Mart get orthro insecticide that says will kill aphids, spider mites, and some others. follow directions and if it says to do it wekkly then you must keep up withit or they will return. Florida is good for growing these boogers and they love the food and the climate. Tough to get rid of but stay on top of it so they don't come back. Also try spraying with a mixture of lemon juice and water then spray againg with the dish soap. after they are gone. they can't climb on slippery dish soap. dish soap only helps prevent the boogers from attaching to the plant. they will stay away as long as you keep using the soap but get rid of them first the use preventative maintinance using the soap. it is cheaper.

Whatever it is.. I've hade really good luck with roses, tomatoes and peppers with the following.

Cut up some garlic... Oh about 1/4 inch cubes so they dont get stuck.

Put them in a water bottle with a slight amount of Jetdry (a drop) Fill with water...

Soak it well.. at least 24 hours. Spray it on your plants.

Sounds silly... but it works... kinda hurts the rose smell... but they look nice...



Oh and reapply every two or three days.
