Keep flowers fresh???

I want to wear fresh flowers in my hair for a party I am going to tonight. Is there any way to make sure they'll will last? Any tricks so that they won't wilt?

hang them upside down and spray them with hairspray, a good "extra hold" one. Keeps them looking nice for much longer than 1 night.
Reply:you should put the flowers in the refrigerator and they will last longer
Reply:in the vase right now pour 7-up and add water and stick your flower steam in it but before you do cut the steam from the end just a little so its fresh so it can drink the water. 7-up in the water will keep your flower looking fresh.

Reply:Cut the stems while they are submerdged in warm water that you have added an aspirin (crushed) too. Leave them in the water until the last minute.

the warm water "opens" the "pores" of the florws and lets it accept the water.





BTW: The trick works great on wilted Green Leaf lettuce. Cut the "butt" off and soak in warm water then stick it in fridge and it gets fresh a crisp again.

Give them as much sunlight as possible

Give water and cut off the leaves (not the petals)!

Reply:Just before you wear them spray a light coating of hairspray on them so they keep shape.
Reply:wrap the bottom in a wet papertowel. and like don't touch them a lot.

Reply:um. put asprin in the water.. and i heard that 7up does... but i know for a fact if you put a asprin in the water itll last longer..
Reply:cut a little part of the bottom stem and put them in a glass of water with sugar....thats what i think your suppose to do
Reply:Keep them in water with a little sugar up until you need to get ready and go, then make sure you put a little water on them before you go - if you can dampen them whilst your out (just a dab of water whilst you're in the bathroom) then that should help them survive the night, of course it all depends on how hot it'll be where you are going!
