Baked Apricots with Almond Topping...?

My fiance had what I think is a great idea but am not sure would be accepted as "proper" for our wedding ceremony desert (baked apricots w/almond topping). It would be healthy, cheap, easy to make (we're doing everything home cooked %26amp; classy), and yummy! Also to note, we're trying to keep a natural theme going (decorated pine cones for the centerpieces, and fresh flower rose piece for the bride, etc.) so this would fit w/the simple, natural theme.

Baked Apricots with Almond Topping...?
I think it's perfect, you don't have to have the same thing as you have had at every other wedding, you can have what ever you like.
Reply:Just beware of nut allergies, having to rush a guest to the hospital could put a damper on the reception!
Reply:I think that would be a welcome departure from the usual wedding cake. I think your guests will be pleasantly surprised. Theyll remember it. Go for it!
Reply:Wow, that sounds amazing.

Grr, now I'm hungry lol.

Good luck!
Reply:Yum, yum!! How about publishing the recipe so the rest of us can try it at home.
Reply:Doing something non-traditional sounds like a great idea! But could I suggest apples instead of apricots? I think more people would like that.

I am a very fussy eater and wouldn't eat an apricot, but I would eat an apple. So if any of your guests are fussy like me, I'd change the fruit involved.
Reply:I would not care for it . does not sound fancy enough for a wedding and i think the guests deserve more than that . they are making a big effort to come, buying a gift and expect at least a fine meal
Reply:go for it,.

its different, and sounds yummalicious!

for shoe lasts
