What should I do?

I am a male. I recently moved to a new city and am reporting to work in a new office. In the city I previously lived in, I had a very good female friend who I lost because of a stupid mistake. In the new office, there's this girl who always looked towards my desk as soon as she entered office to see if I was at my desk. I didnt go talk to her, but I observed her from a distance and she had a lot of characteristics matching my other friend. One day, I bought a vase and filled it with fresh flowers and a note that said, 'Have a good day', and left it on her desk before she came. I didnt write either of our names on it. Later in the evening, I found the vase and the flowers on the security's desk. I asked the security how it got there and he said a lady left it there saying she found it on her desk and didnt know who left it for her. I was a little shocked and felt insulted because my only intention was to be a good friend and see if she could be a good replacement for the other friend.

What should I do?
go n talk with her.

Reply:How about saying "hello" ding-dong? She's waiting for you to make a move and you're only side-stepping. What kind of "hero" is that?? Women are always looking for a hero...so what have you got to lose by just walking up to her with one flower in hand, give it to her and say "hello, yes it was me". And let nature take it's course. Ask her out for lunch or coffee.

She's acting like she has a boyfriend......find out.

People look in your direction for various reasons....don't assume.

Ask her if she liked the flowers and when she inquires as to why no note....tell her you did'nt want to be too forward....and...that you were working on the content of the note. (not sure what to say)

Reply:HOLY COW dude, in today's society with all the terrorist threats, NEVER send anything anonymous. that is why she is taking them to the security desk. Take her aside and explain to her that it was indeed you who sent the flowers and you had no intentions in freaking her out. Apologize for any misunderstanding.
Reply:It's a nice thought to do this but are you just killing time to replace your previous friend? is that good for you. and It may be a bit much to keep giveing the flowers especially if she keeps giving them to the security guard. That's a big hint.. she may be fearful that the person may be stalking her.. just go up to her and ask. sometimes us women just like sincerity and honesty just ask her for coffee or lunch? i hope it works out and keep us posted . you've got me curious now.....
