Your opinion on this cake?

I like this cake, but will it look awfull or weird with fresh flowers and real lace or a silk swag instead of frosting ones?

I think it would look something like this

How's about using the shape of the first cake but using the flowers from the second cake? I think that would look pretty :)
Reply:the real stuff would look better, but I would choose different colors definitely!

something striking, not pastels....

I agree with someone above who said that these cakes look like cakes from the 90's.

I think color choice would help that!

I would choose either a dark or bright color for the swags, I really wouldnt use lace, and a really graceful looking flower combination like roses and gazing lilies.

Good luck!
Reply:Both are very stunning. The first one is different and not one that you will see at other weddings, I am sure.

I really love the way the second cake is layered and the design also. Hard to choose. I think if it was mine and this is the two choices I would choose the second one.

Best Wishes
Reply:I think fresh flowers would be fine. and i think the lace would be fine, but I am not sure about a silk swag. I think the frosted swag looks nice, but not too sure about how a real one would look draped on a cake.
Reply:yeah i love the first one-hate the second one. I wouldn't switch the frosting out i think it looks awesome.
Reply:Both are beautiful.
Reply:I like the second one better but to be honest, both of them look really dated.. these could have been cakes for a 90's wedding
Reply:I actually think it would look better with real flowers
Reply:both are pretty cakes
Reply:I like both! Choose whatever you and your fiance like best.
Reply:i like #1 better than #2 it has way too much going on:)
Reply:i think the second one looks better
Reply:I love the second one.
Reply:I like the first one.
