Wedding advice please!?

So I just bought my silk flowers and spray-painted tem the right color....and tonight my fiancee told me his parents want to pay for fresh flowers. I really appriciate them doing this although the reason I went silk was to keep my bouquet. How do I make sure I get what I want with these fresh bouquets without being ungreatful or a bridezilla.

Wedding advice please!?
find out if there is a way to preserve your fresh flower bouquet, there might be someway to do that and then you can have the best of both worlds.
Reply:You can have a fresh bouquet dried to preserve the flowers. Your florist will have details.

Personally, I carried silk flowers in my wedding for the same reason you gave, I wanted to keep the bouquet. They don't look nearly as nice as fresh flowers, and if I had it to do over again, I'd do fresh flowers and have the bouquet preserved.
Reply:Why don't you keep the silk flowers for your bouquet(s) and let them buy the flowers for any decorations, corsages, boutonnieres, etc?
Reply:At my friends wedding she used a fake bouquet to throw to the single girls. She wanted to keep hers also. So she used a bouquet of fresh flowers to throw and used the bouquet of silk flowers at the wedding and in the photos, and after the wedding she kept the silk arrangment for herself. Also you could use the silk flowers during the ceremony and the real flowers during the pictures if you like.
Reply:Maybe a compromise can be made. You can have your silk bouquets and maybe your in-laws to be can buy the fresh flowers for the church or reception hall.
Reply:Use both, silk and fresh!
Reply:I think that fresh flowers are great if you (or someone else, in your case) can afford them. I think that real flowers look MUCH better in photos than silk ones.

But honestly, are what are you going to do with the silk flowers? (I used to save flowers, but I don't anymore. My wedding flowers are in the closet.)

If you really do want to have your flowers on your coffee table, you can always check out preservation stuff. Make arrangements to do it beforehand so you can get your bouquet to them right away.

Or you can go real for your bouquet and fake in your hair or something so that you can have something to save. I had the same lace/pearl vignettes in my veil as my dress, for example, and I can take some off the veil and put them in a scrapbook which I haven't gotten around to.
Reply:if ur wedding is a true love one, screw a bouque or w.e the hell it is. you have something much more meaningful, ur husband and a start of a family when ur ready. if u want to keep some flowers, look up how to press them. do it after the wedding and put them in a memory or photo book. congrats by the way. i hope you live a long happy wonderful life together.

Best wishes

Reply:U can have a Silk Bouquet and a Fresh Bouquet...but u do what u want..its ur wedding..they will understand..but most flower place can do what u want
Reply:make the fake bouquet then give the bouquet to the florest an make them make a replica an if you want to have it for life add a few fake flowers in your real bouquet so u can keep the silk flowers for ever an one day add them to one of your childrens bouquet for something old or borrowed
Reply:Can the fresh flowers they bought be used to decorate the church or reception hall, or can the bridesmaids carry them? I am guessing if you spray-painted the silk flowers, they will not match natural flowers so you cannot intermingle the two bouquets, which would be the best option.
Reply:just tell them you want silk because you want to keep your bouqet, its as simple as that. tell them that you are grateful and thanks. maybe they can pay for something else.
Reply:Tell them politely that you wanted silk flowers so you can keep them. I believe they will understand :)
