normally sweet little child said to you: "Mommy, you are half ugly and half pretty, but mostly pretty, but you are ugly right there." .... and then she pointed to my face. (lol)
I wasn't sure if I should laugh, or give her a time-out for 6 months.
Unfortunately, this is a true story. Should my feelings be hurt?
Poll: Fresh flowers or Dead flowers
How would you feel if your .... ?
Oh no! From mouths of babe, huh?
Don't take it too hard, Snowy. She's just being a kid. They're guileless. Unless, of course, they want something, then they try to get over on you, don't they!
You're mostly pretty, remember? Except that one spot. Put a sticker over that one spot and then you'll be pretty everywhere!
Live flowers that eventually die and rot - you can use them to cover up the smell of an unbathed child who'd been in time out for 6 months.
xoxo
Reply:don't we just love um.. the little monsters,,don't take the comment to heart the child may have ment different than usual had you had a bad night or something ??you should have said your pretty all the time, then gone and put your war paint on (make-up)
fresh and artificial
dried flowers represent death
Reply:ohh she is just only a little girl, she means u look alright
she is sweet
Reply:Sometimes children can be very naive and speak without thinking. Just treat it as a constructive feedback and let it go don't let it affect u and happiness is a choice not chance so be happy i also have bad times but i tried to overcome it. I hope u will also like me be optimistic and see life cheerfully. Life is precious don't let small things hinder your feelings.
I would prefer fresh flowers.
Take Care
Have a nice day......... Smile
Reply:I am dreading that age. There really isn't anything you can do about it. You can't get mad at her because that will just teach her she isn't "allowed" to have an opinion. I guess just hide how bad it hurts because you want her to see you take the insult and move on. In my opinion, the way you handle situations like these will influence the way your daughter will handle similar situations as she grows up.
Oh, I dont like flowers.
Reply:Children are brutally honest...it hurts. Nothing to do but laugh about it.
Fresh flowers.
Reply:I can see that hurting your feeling a bit,but children say all kinds of things, thinking it's being cute and just simply game playing.just laugh it off and explain to her that it's simply not a nice thing to say to people.my son went through a phase calling people sexy ,just because he thought it was naughty to say that to people and he thoguth it meant they looked like monsters...xxx
definatly fresh flowers!
Reply:I would laugh...my son was studying my teeth one day, then told me all my teeth were yellow and cracked (the spaces in between), I laughed ( after I went to the dentist and got whitening done).
Fresh Flowers of course, I like the mixed bunch or Lillies if your buying, just drop em by.
Reply:no you should not, you can explain to her it is all god work.
Reply:Don't feel bad. My eight year old did something similar a few months ago.
He said "Mama, you could be as sexy as Tinkerbell if you weren't so fat. Cuz you've got a real pretty face."
I said, "Yanno what kid, I'm good with who I am. But, if ya want Tink for a mom, all ya hafta do is go lookin for her."
Reply:Fresh flowers laugh kids say the darnest things lol
Reply:Aww what a sweet child!
Dead flowers, please.
Reply:Just remember children are very honest...lol...My son has been very honest maybe to honest, oh well I can handle the truth...Fresh flowers
Reply:no matter what anybody says about you, you should not be sad, because you're a creation of God, and God never think you're ugly. Children are just too honest about their opinions...and sometimes they just said stuff from the top of their head. Dont mind them
Reply:no sometimes children are too honest
