whenever we get boquet of flowers we get a small packet which keeps the flowers blooming for a longer time.. I want to know any home methods which would help my flowers to bloom for a longer time?? serious answers please
How can we keep rose fresh for a longer time??
Change the water daily and cut the stems of the roses at a diaganol. You can add aspirin/sprite/a penny/vodka/bleach to the water....but changing the water and cutting the stems regularly is what will keep your flowers alive the longest.
Reply:I've heard two different answers to this - a little 7up in the water and an aspirin in the water. I've tried them both but I don't think their that effective - however, changing the water regularly is very helpful.
Reply:I put a teaspoon of bleach in the water to prevent the bacterial growth, cut the end at an angle and change the water daily. Most of the time they last a week to 10 days.
Reply:1 tsp of clorox in a vase of water, and also recut the stems at an angle (about half in.) every other day. change the water daily is the key and do not put them in the sunlight or on a tv.
Reply:1/2 teaspoon of bleach in a small vase or whole teaspoon in larger vases will prolong the life.
Reply:You can keep a rose for your whole life! All you have to do is put some water in the dirt keep it near the window where the sun is and that is how you can keep a rose!!!!!
Reply:I lived closed to Pasadena and for the roses used at the Rose parade they use 7Up to keep them longer. I have not tried it so I can't tell but I think is worth to try it.
Reply:Warmish water with a crushed up asprin in it, it alway helped me:)
