Any religious thought on the smell of flowers?

There are days, especially at night, I smell fresh flowers. I search but can't find an origen. I smell it for hours and then it just disappears. It has happened about 6-9 times already. Any one know anything about this?

Reply:I think that when we think about the Creator- God. And truely love what He has created He allows us to smell the sweetness of flowers or sometimes the aroma of a loved ones perfume or whatever as a small way of saying thank you to us. My Dad used to smoke cherry pipe tobacco,he was a carpenter and so he also carried the scent of fresh cut lumber such a cherry, cedar, oak,pine and other woods, as well as the salty smell of sweat from hard work. To me, as a child and an adult this has always been a sweet scent to me. Laugh if you will but it is true. And the aroma spoke of peace and security in my life as well. And like you I can be sitting here on the pc and the sweet scent of various known and unknow flowers will fill the room or just waft by as if on some unfelt indoor breeze. ( there is no air stirring in this house) I smell these flowers/scents or aromas day or night no particular time of day or night. And not even in the same place either. In the car, a neighbors house or a friends. Sitting in the parking lot of Church or inside the building, when there are non to be seen.

but you can earn grades if you look at nature and think of the greatness of allah who created it
Reply:Scent is an antidpressent,and a mood elevator.Spritually,one can associate the scent of flower to our various expressions connecting ourselves with the truth that nothing is eternal,everything is an illusion--the senses we crave for,the pleasures we seek are all confined to a specific period,a time factor.Physical death is inevitable---yet as u said,the scent of the flowers is always deeprooted in ur mind.scent could be attributed to our souls.We lose connection with our souls because of our physical limitations.Scent is a soul,eternal,a truth,irrespective of the physical form it is in.
