It's growing in the corner where there's a good supply of fresh water and ceiling timbers and plasterboard. It's a sort of bracket fungi, flower shaped, light brown with a creamy edge to it and the biggest one is around 3inches round.
Help me to identify this mushroom growing on my wet ceiling?
Remove it, it will give you so many mould problems.
Reply:Enviromentel Health Officer will give landlord so many days to put right, Or they get the repair done and send landlord nice overpriced bill.
Reply:If there is fungus, the timbers should be replaced. Of any kind. Because, the other fungi and mold that you *don't* see, the ones that are probably growing in the walls, yeah, those can be reeeeeeally bad.
He fixes it, or you sue. :) take pictures.
Reply:take pictires ab take them to the enviromental heath show them and ask if they can help
Reply:why is your ceiling wet
Reply:I wouldnt worry "too much" about that fungi...
I would be MORE concerned about the MOLD that is growing in your walls!!!! Something "that" wet HAS to be growing mold someplace, and its detrimental to your health! Look for green, or black patches of slimy stuff in or on the walls and tell your land lord that your going to SUE him/her because they are putting your health in danger!!!
If something isnt taken care of, then SUE the people, and get out of the house! (Your children "will" develope lung problems and possibly heart problems also!) In fact, if the house has that much wrong, it may need to be condemmened...(yes, I am serious about that! We had a few houses in our area that they condemmed because of mold problems, one was a "brand newly built house" too!)...
I wish you well..
