What are the prepositional phrases in these sentences? what are the verbs in each sentence?

And are they linking or action verbs?



1. The flowers remained fresh for a week.

2. Justin tasted the broth in the kettle.

3. The milk tastes sour.

4. Her hair stayed damp in the heat.

5. She stayed in the house for three hours.

Reply:These are the verb and prep phrases. I am not 100% on the action and linking. But this is what I can recall from my undergrad class on it. Ps. I attached the website so you can double check. The action and linking verbs are a bit complicated. An action verb explains the action; a linking verb links the noun to the adjective or whatever comes after.
