Reply:These are the verb and prep phrases. I am not 100% on the action and linking. But this is what I can recall from my undergrad class on it. Ps. I attached the website so you can double check. The action and linking verbs are a bit complicated. An action verb explains the action; a linking verb links the noun to the adjective or whatever comes after.
